Instructions on How to Apply Water Decals
Full Sheet
Following these steps will help your design sit smooth, flat and sealed:
- Prep: Apply a white base colour and dry/cure completely.
- Cut: Cut around the specific part of the design you want to fit the nail.
- Soak: Using tweezers, soak the design in water for 20 seconds.
- Slide: Remove from the water and gently slide the decal off the backing sheet.
- Apply: Place the design onto the nail. Use a dry beauty sponge to press down and draw out excess water.
- Clean: Gently clean the edges with a brush and acetone. Only tap the edges.
- Seal Base: For an ultra-durable finish, apply Build It Up over the entire design and free edge, then cure.
- Seal Top: Apply Gloss It top coat and cure.
- Hydrate: Apply a drop of Unicorn Lab Cuticle Oil to your cuticles and massage gently to keep the surrounding nail area looking neat and conditioned.
